LE GUETTEUR MÉLANCOLIQUE (THE MELANCHOLIC WATCHER)

Artwork produced as part of the European project Secondary Residence, coordinated by L'âge de la tortue, Rennes. The Melancholic watcher is dedicated to the young sentinels enrolled by drug dealers in the Blosne district and elsewhere. The childish line and the dreamy look of the character remind us of their young age. Combined with a verse by Apollinaire, the artwork suggests a different destiny : with his head held high and his eyes focused on the horizon, the watcher's fragility is revealed and, through the transparency of the medium, it suggests a moment of change.
